One of our favorite ways to easily dress up a space is by adding a selection of nice accessories on the coffee table. A coffee table or ottoman is the perfect place to add character to a room and display some of your favorite pieces. Here are some of the items we find ourselves pulling time and time again that look great in a variety of homes.

A great tray makes a huge difference on a coffee table. Something woven or natural helps offset a variety of materials and brings a nice texture to the room. Trays help corral everyday items like remote controls, but it also serves as a nice surface on something softer like an ottoman. A giant tray works great on a large table and a small dish like tray looks great on a small table.

Similar to trays, small baskets and bowls are a great addition to a table especially one in a fun pattern or unique texture. You can use bowls to showcase collections like matchboxes or as a catchall to store miscellaneous items.

Decorative objects are a great way to add height and dimension to a coffee table. Choosing simple decorate pieces in varying materials and shapes can make your table top look really interesting. We always love a pretty brass accent or something in white marble, especially when they are paired together in two totally different shapes!

Stacking books with pretty covers in a color palette that works with your room is one of the easiest ways to make your table come to life. Doing two small stacks with simple objects on top gives a layered look that is still soft and easy to move around.
